The Artist

Robert Powell, a 34-year-old Minneapolis native discovered his true calling as an abstract artist four years ago when his longtime girlfriend Ashley motivated him to start painting again as a form of therapy. Though he’s had his share of challenges, including time spent in prison and substance abuse; he believes he has found his purpose through the transformative power of art.

As he fearlessly dances with contrasting colors and unorthodox movement on canvas, each piece created becomes a visual symphony meant to evoke emotion and challenge perception.

Robert’s creations are a testament to his journey, reflecting his resilience and determination while showcasing the beauty that can emerge from the most unexpected places just as the love of his life.
